An Unusual 19th Century Woolwork Picture

An unusual woolwork picture showing a scene within a parkland setting of a country gentleman [who is entirely stitched in silk] standing before a red brick country house, that is enriched by a formal rose garden enclosed by iron railings and a gate. In the front left foreground is a stream that ambles beneath a stone bridge. The parkland looks rather windswept as if ravaged by a recent storm. The picture is displayed in a period burr-maple frame.
