Folkart ‘Baron Samedi’ Tobacco-pipe

An extremely rare antique folkart ‘Baron Samedi’ tobacco-pipe, the briar bowl with carved head and pierced brass top-hat – the mouthpiece made of horn.

Though ‘Samedi’ is generally regarded as dissolute (loving rum & tobacco) the carved detail to the shank shows he also has a loving heart.

The Pipe both of excellent colour and patina.
