An Iron Bound Chest

A domed top, leather painted, iron bound chest with 2 lock plates and carrying handles. Dated to the front and to one side 1605. The top and front decorated with figures within chateauxed gardens. Provenance: Sold by Arthur Davidson of London to the revered venture capitalist Tom Perkins. The chest lately from Plumpton Place an Elizabethan manor house in Sussex. The chest in un-restored condition with some losses to the iron work.
