A Small Charles II Boarded Oak Desk-Box
Only 14½” in width this charming oak desk-box is carved with the initials ‘G.R’ and the date ‘1683’ its frieze carved with paired dragons.
Regarding the fact that its fall is carved and it has no reading/writing rest one assumes that its original owner also had the luxury of owning a writing table of some description.
