A charming pair of 18th century oils. Full length portraits of a brother and sister set in English country landscapes, painted in 1791. According to contemporary labels pasted to the back of the canvases, he is ‘William Kendall in the ninth year of his age’ and she is ‘Sarah Kendall in the seventh year of her age.’

These paintings retain their original oval frames but the canvases are unsigned by the artist.
