Antique Oak & Country Furniture

A Primitive Cedar Table

An exceptional heart shaped three legged primitive table made of Cedar. The two and a half inch thick top and swept chamfered legs bearing later lime-painted residue.

Though Cedar is not a practical timber to be used as a chopping-block, evidently at some stage it has been used for this purpose a history that only lends to its character and venerable stature while helping to impart the illusion that the top is burr-wood.
