Girl with a King Charles Spaniel

A late 19th century oil on canvas of a girl with a bonnet and flaxen hair, a King Charles spaniel on her lap.

A very appealing provincial painting in really lovely condition set in a rural landscape showing a girl wearing a lilac dress and a bonnet with a ribbon in it. Here one gets the impression that she really could be the artist’s daughter.

This picture is exhibited in a beautiful 19th century Maple frame and signed by the artist with a red monogram either JR or IR.
